a few words...

Klev was born in October 1987 in Tiranë, Albania. He earned his 5 year Master in Computer Engineering (MEng) diploma from University of Patras and his Master of Sciences (MSc) in Bioinformatics diploma from Uppsala University in 2012 and 2014, respectively. His MEng and MSc theses were accomplished with honors. He has been a student partner of Microsoft Hellas in University of Patras and teacher's assistant in several undergraduate laboratory courses at the same university. Additionally, he has worked as a research assistant in the Bioinformatics group of Prof. Jan Komorowski.

Currently he is a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) candidate in Bioinformatics in the same group after winning an international competition regarding this position. His main research project is on type-2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and is entitled "Imiomics, metabolomics, proteomics and genomics of Type-2-Diabetes Mellitus regression and development" and is fully funded by AstraZeneca.

His main research interests lie in the fields of gene expression regulation, epigenetics, regulatory region annotation, transcriptomics, non-coding single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), multi-omics integration, DNA methylation, algorithm development and implementation, and big data analysis.
